How to play Octordle

Octordle is a free online word puzzle: solve eight five-letter words with one shared guess stream. Color feedback works like Wordle, but every board keeps its own answer.

Enter a valid five-letter word

Each guess must be in the word list. Invalid words are rejected and do not spend a turn.

Read eight independent scores

The same guess is colored separately on every unfinished board using teal, amber, and gray tiles.

Lock solved boards

When a board turns fully teal, it stops receiving later guesses. Focus on the boards still open.

Beat the shared budget

Classic daily and unlimited modes allow 13 guesses for all eight words. Sequence uses 15. Rescue uses nine after four automatic openers.
